Church and School Security Team Handgun Class
The church and school security team handgun training class is basically the Intermediate Handgun Training Course tailored to your security team. It is a 4 hour class for shooters with solid basic handgun skills. Each student must have a concealed handgun permit. Advancement depends on the skill level of the group. The class is conducted at a private range in Conifer. Training includes:
– Review of basic skills (firearm safety, grip, stance, sight alignment/picture, trigger control, recoil management, etc)
– Handgun marksmanship skill building exercises
– Ready positions
– Drawing from a holster
– Drawing from concealed carry
– Intro to tactical malfunction clearing
– Combat reloading techniques
– Shooting while moving
– Use of cover
– Intro to combat shooting techniques
– Intro to tactics
– Timed fire
– Tactical scenario (time permitting)
Cost is $500 per class for a security team group (up to 10 people).
Students must bring:
– Hearing protection (electronic preferred) (we have loaners if needed)
– Shooting glasses (ANSI Z87 rated safety glasses) (we have loaners if needed)
– Strong side hip or thigh holster that safely holds your handgun & covers the trigger guard
– Minimum 200 rounds of ammunition per person
On-site Tactical Evaluation of Church or School
This on-site tactical evaluation of your church or school is a 1 to 2 hour survey and evaluation with regard to your security team size, capabilities, and the tactics recommended to address an active shooter. This evaluation must be completed with the security team director. Assessment includes evaluation of:
– Average security team size for each mass
– Location of security team members
– Floor plan of church
– Security team skills and weapons
– Communication between team members
– Recommendations regarding response and tactics
Cost is $100.
Church or School Security Team Active Shooter Response Tactics Class
The church or school security team active shooter response tactics class is a 4 hour course on the tactics used to respond to an active shooter specific to your church or school. Training is conducted in your church or school with your security team. Training includes:
– Room clearing techniques
– Large room tactics
– Hallways
– Team movement
– Neutralizing the threat
– What to do immediately after
– Parking lot/Vehicles
– Scenarios
Cost is $400 per class for a security team group (up to 12 people).
Students must bring:
– Handgun & Holster
NO HANDGUN MAGAZINES OR LIVE AMMO ALLOWED.
Chamber plugs and Inert weapons will be provided.
